Changed your mind?

You may have purchased insurance with gadgetbuddy.com only to change your mind about your need for cover. And if this is the case, we’ll be very sorry to see you go but will do our best to make sure that the process of cancellation is not too time-consuming, whatever the reason for your decision. The good news is that there is a 14 day cooling-off period at the start of your policy. During this time you can cancel it without providing a reason and we will give you a full refund, provided that you have not made any claims. And of course there is an initial exclusion period, also lasting 14 days, during which it is not possible to make a claim. So any customer should be able to cancel without repercussions or explanations at this point, if that is their preferred course of action.

If the cooling off period has ended

The initial cooling-off period is designed to protect people who decide that gadgetbuddy.com insurance is not for them. But even if this 14 day deadline has passed, you can still cancel your policy if you wish. For those who pay a monthly premium there will be no refund because your cover has been provided on a rolling basis and you were protected for the duration of your policy up to the point at which you decided to cancel. If, on the other hand, you bought cover on a yearly basis then we will calculate a proportionate refund of the annual premium, with only a £10 administration fee deducted from this amount.

If you don’t want to renew your annual policy

The good news about gadgetbuddy.com insurance is that if you invest in annual cover, your protection will renew automatically at the end of the year so that your devices are covered at all times. Of course you may choose not to renew your policy at the end of the year. This is why we will get in touch with you 30 days before the renewal date to keep you up to date with any changes that may have occurred, as well as reminding you of the terms and conditions of your cover with us. The renewal notice will include all the information you need to cancel your annual policy at this point.
